How I Work

Psychotherapy Support

My psychotherapy work is centred on developing a deeper awareness of your inner world, helping you understand patterns, motivations, and recurring themes that may be shaping your life. You may feel stuck—in yourself, in a relationship, or at work—or find that the same difficulties keep repeating, despite your best efforts to change them.

A significant part of how we experience ourselves and others is shaped by early relationships and circumstances. Where early attachments were difficult, this can have lasting effects on confidence, resilience, and the way we relate to ourselves and those around us. My aim is to understand how your history has shaped your present, so we can create new ways of responding that feel more supportive and freeing.

If you choose to engage in therapy with me, I offer a safe, empathic, and reflective space to explore what is painful or stuck—both past and present—and to work towards meaningful change.

I have a particular interest in working with neurodivergent clients, including those without a formal diagnosis who would like space to explore this therapeutically (please see the Neurodiversity section).

Nutritional Psychiatry Support

I use an evidence-based, functional medicine approach to nutrition and wellbeing, supported by personalised testing where appropriate. The work is collaborative and tailored, recognising that each person has a unique health history, physiology, and set of goals. Together we build a nutrition, supplement, and lifestyle plan that feels realistic and sustainable, moving at a pace that works for you.

Before we begin, I will send you a link to an online health history questionnaire covering diet, symptoms, medications, and supplements, with the option to upload previous test results. Your first appointment is 90 minutes, allowing time to explore your main concerns in depth and review your medical history, diet, lifestyle, and family history. Based on your questionnaire and our discussion, I will suggest initial targeted recommendations, which may include nutrition and lifestyle adjustments and supplements, and I will create an initial Health Plan for you to follow. Where relevant, I may also recommend specific laboratory testing, which can be ordered for you.

I like to put functional support in place early, as it usually takes a few weeks for initial benefits to be felt and for test results to come through. While we wait for results, I can also offer weekly psychotherapy support if you would find that helpful.

Once results are back, we review how you are getting on with your Health Plan and update it in line with the findings if needed. The number of consultations varies and depends on your needs and the progress you are making.
